Off course stealimg the car by loading it on a truck is unstoppable. I guess this will stop a certain amount of thieves, which is good enough for me. Especially Bc the thing is small and tucked away above the pedals. Because cutting or drilling the thing is extremely hard. They'd have to reprogramm the car to be able to start without pressing the brake and reprogramm the car to be able to shift to drive without pressing the brake. It stops the brake pedal from being able to be pushed down. My theft 'prevention', for when my car sleeps outside (at home I have a garage and the car is inside) is a bullock brake pedal lock. As for the GPS, thieves have jammers that block any outgoing signals so gps won't work either and other more primitive techniques to jam signals. When I spoke to the dealer about it they also said the alarm doesn't scare thieves off due to all their state of the art techniques to disable the alarm. Even though an alarm is relatively acceptable cost wise to have it installed by the dealer I did not have it installed. As (surprisingly enough) many cars in Germany don't come with an alarm, neither did mine.
